Dragon!

It has taken a while, from concept, to prototype, to textures, but I’m confident enough now to announce a new long-term project; a 1:50 (1:35 if you prefer) dragon. It will be fully poseable (not articulated) and be made available in a variety of colours. I expect the project to last until next year sometime, [...]

Warrior Maiden

The prototype Female Protagonist is complete, and I am very happy with the results. Textures need some modification (the leather is too dark to pick out details), but otherwise everything sizes well and fits nicely. I built this one at 1:35, a scale I’ve not built yet, and I must say it is a great [...]

Crossbow

I’ve finished the prototype crossbow, with excellent results. The winch is a separate component and can be modeled attached to a belt or in use as shown. Now all that remains for the set is instructions and page layout. Look for a release in the next week or so! Enjoy! Tirick

Cloaks

I’ve been chipping away at some textures and elements to finalize the Man at Arms expansion set, but took an some time to assemble a prototype with the newest part: double-sided cloaks! A variety of textures are will be available, with alignment samples to allow you to ensure you second side print matches. The figure [...]

Completed Cannon

The print candidate is now complete, and with only a few minor changes to make, I hope to get this beast released within a few weeks. I’ve included a 35mm figurine (a Pirate captain from the Reaper (http://www.reapermini.com/)  miniatures line) for scaling. The mathematically astute will note that 35 mm scale is very nearly 1:50, so [...]

Cannon Carriage

I’ve finished the carriage for the cannon, and only need to add the wheels to complete the print prototype. I think the assembly went together quite well, and I’m very pleased with the overall result. Enjoy! Tirick

Lancer

A second prototype print assembly, this time showcasing the unstrung bow, a short javelin (in the quiver), a long spear/lance and a retexture of the hauberk with scale-mail. All of the prints worked well, a little dark on some of the metal components, but easily rectified. The coming week will hopefully see a crossbow design [...]

Rider!

I’ve finished assembling the first prototype bow and quiver set, and the build went brilliantly. I’ve finally assembled a rider for the first prototype Courser, with a second rider to come in the next few days. Here are some progress pics for you to enjoy! Tirick

Hair, Mane, Tail and Saddle!

I finished assembling the prototype mane/tail for the Courser, which worked quite well. The final print will be dual sided printing, so much of the ‘white’ space will be hidden. As well I assembled the Medieval saddle prototype. Finally, I made an attempt at a hair concept for the female protagonist. Like the mane and [...]

Posable Courser – Prototype

I finished assembling the prototype for the courser, and aside from a few model changes, the build went well. For the sake of simplicity, and partly because the hind leg looked too narrow, I’ve now mirrored the front/back legs except for the shoulder/flank joint. I have a concept for the tail and mane, and will [...]
